7 Lbs 11 0z and 18" long!

With 20" inches of snow falling in the last 24 hours it was the worst weather since last winter! What a great day to welcome a sweet little boy into our family!

Blake & Brianna were so excited to meet him.With H1N1 no siblings were allowed at the hospital!

Easter 2009

Cold and rainy weather is not conducive to Easter Egg Hunts and it was COLD! Blake(8) Taylor(9) hid 53 eggs on he main floor for Brianna(5) and Bentley(2) while Bentley and Brianna hid 53 for Taylor and Blake's upstairs. Here are some fun pictures of the kids finding the treasures!

It's Great To Be 8

Our family celebrated Blake's decision to be baptized. He was baptized by his dad Todd and then confirmed on Sunday by his Grandpa Erickson. He was so excited that he was able to see his cousin Parley baptized a few weeks ago and it made him even more excited for his turn. He is a good example to his family.

Family Trip To Utah

Look at the BIG fish! Here are a few of the fun times the cousins had together! It was fun to be with Parley and Ethan for a few days! We miss you!

Last week we were able to all (except Todd) go over to Utah and spend some time with Parley and Ethan and see Parley get baptized. It was a wonderful trip. We all went to the Draper Temple open house ( I knew I would get all my kids to the Temple someday!) Bentley said my favorite thing as we were walking past the baptismal font he said COWS! We always have to go to Cabala's that is a favorite of the grand kids. What a wonderful blessing my family is!Here are some of the pictures of the trip!

Why is loosing weight easier for men?

Brian and I wanted to make 2009 our healthy year we got together 2 teams at work and we are doing the biggest looser challenge. There is 5 of us on each team and it is great to have the support of friends a t work as well as at home,we have changed our eating. I must say that I am very happy with how well we have done so far! We have been making much better choices every day(okay except last night at Troys he had eclairs for dessert). Brian has lost 10lbs so far YEAH BRIAN!!! And me ummmm a whole 5lbs I looked at the calendar and yes it is true only 5. Why is it that he can loose so much more and "Cheat" more than I? I must say that I am feeling so much better and my clothes feel much better as well. We will just keep plugging along I guess it is time to get the ole' elliptical machine dusted off and start doing the exercise too!

Troy Thanks for the warm fire in your fireplace on a cold winters night, what a fun evening we had last night playing Apples to Apples Todd and I are the champions!!!!

Laughing at Christmas!

With the Economy as it is, our family decided that what is really important about the holidays is the thought and not the price of the gift so we made the limit for each person and gift at $1.00.The gift had to have a thought and a purpose behind it. One thing about the Erickson family is we that we NEVER forget anything and this Christmas proved that point once again. There is nothing better than to spend time with your family laughing until you have tears rolling down your cheeks and not remembering the last time your stomach hurt so much.
